Attachment checklist
Here you can see which attachments you need to include with your application.
Attachments everyone must include
To process your application, we need all the attachments listed below. If you live with other adults, you may also need to include some of their documents.
Family Certificate (familjebevis)
You need to include a Family Certificate, whatever your family situation. You can order it from the Swedish Tax Agency.
2026 Income Tax Return
Include all pages of your tax return. If you live with other adults, you must also include their tax returns. This does not apply to upper secondary school students.
Latest Annual Bank Statements
Include annual statements from all banks where you have accounts, including information about any funds, shares and other investments. If you live with other adults, you must also include their annual statements. This does not apply to upper secondary school students.
Why do we need your annual bank statement?
Your annual bank statement shows what money and assets you have at the bank. It helps us assess whether you meet the requirements for financial support. That’s why you must always include your latest annual bank statement. If it’s missing, we cannot approve your application.
You can have money in the bank
You may still be able to receive support even if you have money in the bank. The limit on how much you can have in savings and other assets applies to all your accounts combined and depends on how many people live in your household. If you have more than the allowed amount but have special reasons for applying, FVO can assess your situation individually.
How to find your annual bank statement
You can usually find your annual bank statement in your online banking service. Make sure the document is labelled Årsbesked. If you have accounts with more than one bank, you need to include annual statements from all of them.
Rent Invoice or Tenancy Agreement
The document must show your name, address and rent amount.
Income
In addition to the attachments listed above, you also need to include documents showing any income, expenses and other information that applies to you.
- Salary – your latest payslip.
- Sickness benefit, sickness compensation or activity compensation – include a payment statement or decision letter. Simply stating the amount is not enough. You can find these documents under Mina sidor (My Pages) on the Swedish Social Insurance Agency’s website.
- Pension – a pension statement or documents from providers such as AFA, AMF, KPA or SPV. If you receive a pension from another country, you must include documents showing this too.
- Unemployment benefit
- Housing allowance or housing supplement
- Activity support
- Maintenance support
- Child's pension
- Care allowance, care compensation or additional cost allowance
- Disability allowance or additional cost allowance
- CSN (student finance) – if you receive student finance from CSN, include your payment schedule.
- Funds, shares or other investments – include documents showing what you own.
Other attachments to include
- Dental care – a cost estimate if you’re applying for support for more extensive dental treatment.
- Court-appointed guardian or administrator – a register extract showing who has been appointed.
