Do you need financial support for dental care?

You may be able to get financial support from FVO for dental care that you’re struggling to afford.

How government support for dental care works

There is government support available to help reduce the cost of dental care. How much you pay depends on factors such as your age, the treatment you need and how much your dentist charges.

Dental care allowance

As an adult, you receive a government dental care allowance that you can use to pay for part of your dental treatment.

High-cost protection

If you need more expensive treatment, the high-cost protection scheme may cover part of the cost.

Different prices

Dentists set their own prices, so costs can vary. It’s a good idea to compare prices before choosing a dental clinic.

How to apply for support from FVO

Start by booking a dental check-up. If you need treatment, ask your dentist for a cost estimate.

You can then apply for financial support from FVO to cover the cost of the proposed treatment.Remember to include the cost estimate with your application.

Do you receive social assistance?
